As you likely know, the Amazon Prime Video app is available for both iOS and Android. On both iOS and Android devices, Amazon lets you download movies and other videos to the respective devices so that you can watch videos offline.
Up until a week ago, there was no official Prime Video app for Windows 10. Users had to sign in to their Amazon Prime Video accounts via the web browser and watch the content in the web browser. Although the service works fantastic in web browsers, Amazon Prime Video did not offer an option to download videos for offline viewing.
The good news is that Amazon recently released Amazon Prime Video for Windows 10. The app is now available in the Store. More than anything else, the app allows you to download videos for offline viewing. Here is how to use download movies and TV shows using the Prime Video app.
Downloading videos using Prime Video app in Windows 10
Step 1: Visit the Store, search for the Amazon Prime Video app, and install the same.
Step 2: Once installed, launch the app. Sign in with the email address that you used to buy an Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Step 3: To download a movie or TV show, search for it. Click on the Download option to being downloading the video.

Change Amazon Prime Video download quality
The Prime Video app offers three download qualities to choose from: good, better, and best. While an hour of good-quality video takes about 0.5 GB of disk space, better-quality video requires about 1.1 GB of space. An hour of the best-quality video takes approximately 2.4 GB of space on your computer. To change the download quality:
Step 1: Open the app. On the left pane, click on the settings/gear icon to open the settings page.
Step 2: In the Download quality section, select either Best, Better, or Good.
Can I download Amazon Prime Video movies via a web browser?
As of today, Amazon allows downloading movies from its Prime Video service through its official apps only. Since there is no official Amazon Prime Video app out there for Windows 10, you cannot download movies and videos from Amazon Prime Video to PCs running Windows 10 or earlier versions. However, you can sign in to your Amazon Prime Video website on your computer using any web browser and watch movies without any restrictions.
