With default settings, Windows 10 occasionally displays app suggestions in the left-side of the Start menu. As you can see in the picture below, Windows 10 is suggesting me to install the TouchMail app.

Turn off app suggestions in Windows 10 Start via Settings
Step 1: Open the Start menu and then click Settings to open the same. Alternatively, you can simultaneously press the Windows logo and I keys (Windows logo + I) to open Settings using a keyboard shortcut.
Step 2: Once the Settings app is launched, go to the Personalization category > Start page.
Step 3: Turn off the option labeled. Show suggestions occasionally in Start to disable the app and other tips in the Start menu.

Step 1: When you see an app suggestion in the Start menu, right-click on the suggestion.
Step 2: Click Turn off all suggestions to turn off all types of app suggestions in the Start menu.
Click Don’t show this suggestion to see the new suggested app.
